Parents Races Night

Dear Families,

Our Adults Only Races Night, is on Friday, November 13^th at the Strathmore Football Club starting at 7:00pm. 

In response to feedback we have made some changed to the format of our Races Night.  They are as follows:

§ The event is now placed to coincide with the end of the Spring Racing Carnival. 

§ The cost for the event is now ONLY $20 per person.  If you already have tickets for the event you will be refunded the difference. 

§ No supper will be provided on the night.  Supper will now be B.Y.O.

§ We now encourage participants to organise table groups (10 per table), however other tables will be available if table groups are not formed.  

§ We encourage all attending to dress in the Races Theme, however this is not compulsory.

Drinks will still be at bar prices.

How does the Races Night work?

§  On entry each person will receive betting money (fake) to bet with during the evening.

§  Footage of actual horse races will be shown throughout the evening, each with eight numbered horses.

§  Place a bet at the tote table on whichever horse you think will win the race.

§  You can bet on as many horses as you like, as many times as you like.

§  You will be given a ticket for each bet. Hold on to this, you’ll need it to claim your winnings.

§  When all bets have been placed, the race will be shown and the winner displayed.

§  If your horse is the winner, collect your winnings from the tote table.

§  Prizes will be awarded to highest money winners on the evening.

§  HEAPS of FUN and ENTERTAINMENT!!!

Other entertainment for the night includes:

§  Door prizes on entry.

§  Competitions such as Fashions on the Field (dress up and be flamboyant), Lucky Stars, Coin Toss plus more.  All competitions have great prizes.

§  A disco will end the evening with some current and classic hits from the past.

Ask your friends and come and have a fun and entertaining night.

Term 4 Fundraising Events

We have some exciting events planned for Term 4.  They are as follows:

School Art Show - The Art Show will be an enjoyable community event where the art work of our students will be on display.  The fundraising team will be selling drinks and bbq food will be available.  More details at the start of Term 4.

Races Night (Adults Only) - This event has been resheduled to Friday, November 13th to coincide with the conclusion of the Spring Racing Carnival. The night will be a cracker jack, fun-filled event for all the adult members of our community.  More details to come at the start of Term 4, but put this date in your calendar NOW!!!

School Christmas Concert - As always, we finish the 2009 year with our amazing Christmas Concert.  All classes will entertain during the evening with a special class performance.  Once again the fundraising team will be selling drinks and bbq food will be available.  More details later in Term 4.

2009 Fundraising Update

So far this year we have raised $17,056.08.  This is an amazing effort from our school community with still Term 4 to go. 

Father's Day Stall Update

We hope all our Dad's had a wonderful Father's Day.  I'm sure that the gifts that our Dad's received from our Father's Day Stall were appreciated.  Thanks to the generosity of our community we were able to raise $1500.00 through our Stall.  A big thank you once again to the wonderful efforts of our Fundraising Team.  Also thanks to the many parents that came and assisted at the stall.

Chocolate Drive News

We have raised just over $6,000.00 with our Chocolate Drive. 

Thank you to all our school families for your wonderful support of this fundraising effort.  Your contributions and efforts are much appreciated.

Father's Day Stall

We are holding our Father's Day Stall on Friday the 4th of September.  There will a wide range of gifts that students can buy for their Dad.  Prices range from 50c to $5.00.  Please ensure that your child has their money on the day and brings a bag to hold their purchased items.
